You might try Rebooting and Restarting TurboTax, you might be stuck in a loop.

I tried backing out of the app and starting over but I still get stuck on "Ok, let's get going"

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2019 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

OR -

IRS Free File Program - https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/
If you are eligible you can use the TurboTax Free File Program which is free to file both a federal and state tax return. The Free File Program edition is a full featured personal tax program and on a separate website from the TurboTax online editions.

To qualify for free 2019 federal and state tax returns with the Free File Program, you'll need to meet at least one of these requirements:

  • A maximum 2019 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $36,000; or
  • You qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or
  • You served as active duty military (including Reservists and National Guard) with a maximum 2019 AGI of $69,000 (you'll also need a military-issued W-2).

I was doing taxes for another person on my computer -- that person qualified for irsfreefile. Somehow I signed in on my own id, and now my taxes (after 9 years!!!!) are stuck in irsfreefile and I can't find a way to opt back in to turbo tax paid products so that I can file my taxes.

I need help or I will be forced to use some other product and re-enter all my information. :(

Try this:

1. Sign off your account

2. Go to this link:  https://freefile.intuit.com/

3. Sign in your account

4. Uncheck the box that says "Yes, switch to IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax"

5. Sign out of your return.

6. Go to Turbotax.com (it will probably flip over to turbotax.intuit.com)

7. Sign in to your account - see if you are able to continue normally.

After signing in I do not see this:

Yes, switch to IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax

Happened to me as well.

All they have to do is add a button to go back to the paid version.

IDIOTS,  are doing to be losing money over an easy coding fix.

There is nowhere to pick that option
