Why a charge to file my state tax (GA)? The website states it is free. I already have to pay for Deluxe due to one 1099-MISC form.

There is a fee to use Deluxe to file a federal return, there is also an additional charge to file the state return. For more information, please go to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/deluxe.jsp.

I understand why I have to pay the Deluxe fee. I do NOT understand why I have to pay to file the GA state tax when your website clearly states that state tax filing is free.

I do not see where it states free. Every place I have checked on our official site for TurboTax Deluxe, it states that "State is additional". (Please see the screenshot I provided) With the CD/Download, it says one state file included, however, that is for you to file and mail. Even with the CD/Download version, there is still a fee of $19.99 to efile. In your case you are using the online version so the fee is $40.00 to file state. Your total would be approximately $80.00.
