While filling income, there used to be a question asked about reporting other income.. This goes on the Schedule 1 Line 8 z(other income). How to enter this?

It depends on what form the income is reported on (if any) and why you received the income. 

You can enter income to flow to schedule 1 using "Less Common Income" with no form 

or 

"Other Common Income" for certain 1099 forms.
