Which company should someone unhappy with Turbo tax go to next? Why should someone pay more than $120 to get assistance?

Did anyone else receive a letter from the IRS about an adjustment?  How is this possible if you enter all the information as specified or have your w2 uploaded directly?

It depends.  TurboTax software is highly accurate; however there are a number of variables that might not align with the information you provided on your tax return and what the IRS has in its database for you.  Here is a TurboTax article that explains various reasons why the IRS might send a letter and what to do if you receive one.

I can Google and call the IRS myself.  However, after spending $120 to do the taxes with Turbo tax the one time I called to get help your whack ass company wanted me to pay even more $$.  When they could have helped a paying customer out and answer the question.  Now I will take my business else where including credit Karma, and all intuit products.  How can Turbo tax be worth it (highly accurate) when they keep tacking on fees to assist people who already paid?  How accurate is it if you still have to call the IRS?

I am sorry that you are having an issue with the IRS.  TurboTax does not issue refunds or Stimulus checks.  TurboTax is a tax preparation platform.  If you have submitted your return to the IRS, then TurboTax is out of the picture.  IRS is forbidden to discuss your information with TurboTax because of privacy laws.  Legally, IRS cannot provide any information about the status of your refund other than you.  If you have questions that pertain to preparing your tax return, then we can most definitely assist you.

Seems Turbo Tax still wants to charge me for an incorrect return filled with their software. Haven't even gotten a refund back yet to pay the fee. I'm willing to pay the fee for a correct service provided but not for a job poorly done. I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have recommended them many times. I wont any longer. I can't even find a way to resolve this issue with Turbo tax. Sad. Sad Sad Sad.
