Hi everyone, In 2023, I worked under a W-2 and had a $500 state tax refund. Instead of receiving the refund, I chose to apply it to my 2024 taxes. Now, as I'm filing my 2024 tax return, I can't find where to enter that $500 credit I carried over from the previous year. Can someone please tell me where and how to properly report this amount on my 2024 tax return? Thank you so much for your help!

Click Start or Update by the tax you applied.
Be sure it’s not already carried forward on line 26 from last year.
Under Deductions and Credits, scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click Start next to Income Taxes Paid. Scroll to the 2023 Refund Applied to 2024 section and click Start next the 2023 refund applied to 2024 federal taxes option.
I found this feature, and it applies to the federal return, but I had a state tax return, and in the state tax section I didn’t find the same option.
I received the federal refund that year, but the state tax refund of $500, I applied it to the 2024 tax year.
You enter the state refund applied in the same area as Federal.
To enter last year's refund you applied to this year.
