I meant who shows the brokerage firm that paid you the dividend? Because you have to enter all this when preparing your return.
Dividends are reported on line 3a - Qualified dividends and line 3b - Ordinary dividends on your form 1040.
And if you have 1,500 or more of either interest or dividends you will get a schedule B filled out.
So if the amount is less no identifying information required?
I guess not. Just the total amount shows up for interest and dividends.
