Where do we enter child ssn? It was not asked to me while filling the form? Just want to be sure the $500 credit applied is valid

Your child's (dependent) social security number is entered in the "My Info" section.  Click on that, and go through the interview until you get to the entry screen for you child's social security number.  See the attached screenshot.

Thanks for the reply David. I am using TurboTax online deluxe and on here I was not asked about that information. So just wanted to confirm before filing it there is a glitch to avoid any issues later.

Another quick question, my daughter is not a US citizen and is on H4 visa. Will I still be eligible for the $500 credit which turbotax applied to my return?

I don't think so.  The $500 Credit for Other Dependents requires the dependent to be  a U.S. citizen, U.S. resident alien, U.S. national, Canadian resident, or Mexican resident.  For more information, see the following FAQ:<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/7022191">https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/7022191</a>
