Where do I record commissions from a direct sales/MLM company when I don't work it as a business (my commissions are due to my upline placing people below me).

I won't receive a 1099 since the commissions are under $600 and my involvement with the company is strictly personal use.

Technically I don't believe you are required to file it. However, if you want to, it would be under general income.

I do direct sales with an MLM also. My first year I made under $600 and was not required to file it.
