Where do I find my taxpayer identification number?

The Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is your Social Security number.  Or if you are not eligible for a SS number then it is the ITIN you received from the IRS.

I have entered my ss number as my taxpayer ID for the anchor program and it is saying that those numbers are incorrect

The homeowners would need an ANCHOR ID or PIN for the NJ ANCHOR.  Per the NJ Division of Taxation, "Homeowners need an ANCHOR ID and PIN to apply online or by phone. If you did not receive a mailer or email with an ID and PIN, but filed a Homestead Benefit application last year, access the online ID and PIN inquiry system to retrieve your ID and PIN. Certain homeowners must file a paper application for reasons listed below."
