Where do I find Form 8949 to report a Long Term gain?

When you enter an investment sale TurboTax will create Form 8949 and include it in your tax return. To enter an investment sale go to:

  • Federal Taxes
  • Wages & Income
  • Investment Income
  • Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other

But as tagteam said, you cannot enter investment sales in Free Edition. You will have to upgrade to Premium.

You will need to upgrade to report sales of securities if you're using the free version.
