Where do I add income that I received from being a pollworker? I did not receive a W-2 or 1099.

You can report it under Miscellaneous Income:

  • Select Federal, then Wages & Income.
  • Scroll  down to  "Less Common Income,"
  • Click  Start or Revisit next to "Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C."
  • Click  Start or Revisit next to "Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099."
  • The next screen "Did you receive any other wages?" Select Yes and Continue.
  • The next three screens are for household employee wages, sick or disability pay, and Medicaid waiver payments. Just click Continue on those three screens without entering anything.
  • On the screen "Did you earn any other wages?" Select Yes and Continue.
  • The next screen, select Other and click Continue.
  • On the next screen, "Any Other Earned Income," enter a description and enter the amount you were paid.
