Where you mail them varies based on where you live and which state you file to as well as if you owe a balance, or are due a refund.
When you print your return, TurboTax will generate a cover sheet that will print the exact address for you to send your returns to, making it easy to know which address is just right for your situation!
If you still aren't sure, reply here and let us know where you live, which states you are filing a return to, and if you are making a payment or expecting a refund (or neither), and we will be glad to give a more specific answer!
I live in Virginia. Also, expecting a refund. TurboTax generated an address to where to file my state and federal taxes but both addresses are different. How can I file both paperwork together?
As you're going through the FILE portion of your TurboTax interview, you'll select "File by Mail" for both federal and state returns. When you do that, the program will direct your to the print options, and you'll see where to print your forms to mail.
The first page of both your federal and state returns will be an instructions page. Each page will contain instructions, as well as mailing addresses, for mailing your returns. They will go to different places.
Mail each return in a separate envelope to the address you're given. I'd recommend that you mail using certified mail so that a signature is required on receipt.
The TurboTax FAQ linked below will give you further instructions.

Unfortunately, you cannot mail both the State and Federal together. Each has to go to its own taxing agency.
I printed out my 2021 form for federal and California. Do I send the entire form to one address or do I send federal to one address and California to another address? And if so, what are the addresses?

When you printed the federal and state tax return there should have been a Filing Instructions page for where to mail each tax return along with the forms, schedules that need to be included for each tax return.
The federal and state returns are sent to separate addresses so that you need to put the federal return in one envelope and the state return in a separate envelope.
Go to this IRS website for the address to mail the federal return, by state, with or without a tax payment - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment
Go to this California website for where to mail the CA return with or without a state tax payment - https://www.ftb.ca.gov/help/contact/mailing-addresses.html
@Dmamood Federal and state go to different places. The cover sheets should say where and if you need to attach a copy of federal with California. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them.

If I have to hardcopy mail my CT federal and state taxes due to e-filing issue. Do I mail them together? I have one cover sheet, which was in between federal and state when I printed. It has an address in Hartford CT, do both go to that? Or does Federal have to go to IRS in Kansas City, MO?

Since you live in CT you use this mailing address for the federal tax return only and you are not enclosing a payment -
Department of the Treasury
Internal Revenue Service
Kansas City, MO 64999-0002
Do I mail the CT state part to Hartford separately? I’ve never mailed before. Or do I just send federal and state together as one to MO? Thank you.
