When will 8915E be available to file? Message receiving is "You'll need to revisit this area."

Can one still file without reporting the 1099r due to the delay in rolling out the form 8915E. Can we file it the next tax season?

No you will need to file it this season. You may decide to leave your 1099-R out of your return but you will need to amend your 2020 return later. Unfortunately,  we currently do not have an estimated date when the form is ready. Please sign-up here and we will email you once the form is live, if you haven't already.

My return wont get kicked back because I left out this form? when e-filing, I'm always nervous to leave anything out. I go through my return several times to make sure it is the same every time I enter my info. Is amending a return hard to do? and also can it be done via online software/efile like turbotax?
