When trying to enter data for my W-2 I receive a message that says "maintenance notification from UKG Ready. W-2 import for this employer is unavailable until 2/18/22?

I have the w-2 data why can't I enter it?

You can.  But if you want to enter it before February 18th you will have to type the data from the form in manually.

I can't enter the W2 in manually.  I don't understand why I can't just click on add W2 and manually enter the data.  What is wrong?

@mjr_sr@JBrady If you are receiving a maintenance notification, it sounds like you are trying to import, even if you don't realize you are doing so. Try these steps after deleting the W2 you have already recorded.

  1. From the left menu select Federal>income and expenses
  2. Job (W-2)>start. add a W2
  3. Now type in the EIN exactly how it appears in a W2
  4. Next screen  Uploading your W‑2 makes taxes easier, indicate you will type it in yourself.
  5. Next screen will have you manually input your W2 as it appears on your hard copy.

I am unable to manually type my W2 as well. I am under Federal Taxes and then wages/income. When I type the EIN, I get a message that says "Maintenance Notification from Intuit- W-2 import for this employer is unavailable in this product at this time. Please try again on Friday, 18 February 2022 at 09:00:00 PT"

On the screen with just the box to enter the employer's EIN, do not enter anything and click on Continue.  This will take you to the screen where you can enter the W-2 manually, including the EIN.
