This is the TurboTax US user community website.
Go to this TurboTax Canada website for assistance with a Canadian tax return or the TurboTax Canada editions - https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/turbotax-support/en-ca

Sorry, but there is nothing there.  The Canadian website does not work for desktop TurboTax software.  No answers, no links, nothing on the community, no phone number, no support link chat.  Nothing.

@dianajwilhelm Not sure why you are saying there is nothing there when you click the link for the Canadian user forum or for Canadian tax products.   Maybe you did not click around enough.  I just went to the site and it seems to be functioning just fine.  Look at the top of the screen and click on TurboTax.ca.    to get to the desktop and online products.

Hi, sorry because I think my response was not clear.  Yes, the TurboTax .ca website is there.  However, when I tried to look up anything about the desktop TurboTax canada software, there was no info available.  And when I tried to contact TurboTax.ca, there are no links there. All the urls I tried brought me to TurboTax online (web based) info/webpages and not the desktop software.  It made me wonder whether Intuit was even doing a TurboTax Canada desktop version for the 2024 tax year.  Only 2023 can be purchased not 2024.

@dianajwilhelm

Yep....they're really worse at letting you find the desktop version pages........I eventually found it:

Thanks SteamTrain, but unfortunately, that link allows me to buy the 2023 version only.  2024 desktop version is not available.

There are community pages for Turbotax Canada as well.  I was not able to get to them to post a question using my phone and Chrome.  However, I was finally able to post a question when I went on my PC.

Thank you for your help.  The Turbotax Canada website is a bit of quagmire of links.  They seem to only want you to use the web-based or the mobile app turbotax.

dianajwilhelm,

Appreciate your frustration, as I've noticed the same issues with looking to find a release date (if there is going to be one) for the offline PC version for 2024 / 2025.  Will keep looking. I believe last year it wasn't available till around the 15th Dec.

I have the exact same question (Canada online 2024 release date). Let me know if you find it!

Why do people keep posting here?   This is the USA forum
Here is the Canada forum

Sorry about the mix-up but the Canadian Turbo tax website is weird.  You login and suddenly the only thing you can do is start an online web tax return.  Same goes for the community. All about web based tax returns. I did eventually get to the correct webpage.

Funny thing though, once I was on the Canadian community site, there on the Canadian TurboTax community forum was a guy posting about his 1099 slip.  I guess he got lost as well.  Intuit might need a review of their website navigation?

Hope you have a happy holiday and tax season 🙂!
