When I try to "talk to a person" about a submission problem, I get the message that I must first complete my return which I have done and can't submit.

I would recommend going back through the federal interview section.

 

You should see amounts in the Income & Expenses section as well as in the Deductions & Credits section in the summary pages.

 

 

If you see amounts as shown in the sample above, then go ahead and select the Review option.  This will ensure you do not have any areas that need to be updated.

 

If you are able to get through this step, try to request help again by selecting the Live button on the top right.  You may need to upgrade as this is a higher service than the standard TurboTax option.
