When I try to file an extension, I get "Unfortunately, the deadline for filing an extension has passed." Even though it's only Mar 6, and the deadline is Apr 15. Why?

TT has not started 2018 extensions yet. You are seeing 2017 stuff.  Do the IRS paper form now  https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf
