When I started my returns I agreed to the state/federal deluxe price of $69. When I finished I was charged $79. How do I get the price I agreed to?

The $69 for deluxe/state  is for desktop software which you download to your own hard drive. You are posting from online Deluxe which is priced differently.  Deluxe federal is $39.99; State is additional $39.99.

Did you already pay?  If you haven't already paid, you can purchase the desktop software (CD/download) and install it.  Then you can download the *.tax2018 data file you started online and finish the return in the desktop software.   If you already paid for the online product, however, then that won't help.  Plus, you might end up paying more in the desktop product.  See my Note in the next paragraph.

NOTE:  However, if you have a state return, then be aware there is a 19.99 state efile fee in the desktop version to consider as well (except free efile for New York state.)   So that might make the desktop product more expensive than your online product.   Your fee in the desktop product would then be 69.99 + 19.99 = 89.98.  So you are better off in the Online version with a state return that you want to efile.   In the desktop product, there is no fee, however, to print and mail a state return, so that would avoid the 19.99 fee.

@jenijo24  I added some info above explaining the state efile fee in the desktop product.   So if you have a state return, it will be cheaper for you to just keep using the Online product unless you want to print and mail the state return.   If you were emailed the original comment, please return to the forum to see the full information.
