What is the "E-file Signature Authorization" for New York that has to be signed within one day of acceptance?
The Electronic Filing Instructions for New York have a section saying "Sign and date E-File Signature Authorization within 1 day of acceptance." This seems to imply that there is something to be done after the return is accepted - or is it just referring to the steps we had to take immediately before filing? The instructions for the Federal return (also e-filed) do NOT contain this language.

As long as your return was accepted, you are fine and do not have to do anything further.
This form is for your records. Keep all of your documents related to your taxes together in a file just for your own records.
