You can use the federal ID number that is listed in box "b" if there is no state ID number listed on your W2 in box "15". Make sure you have your two letter state abbreviation as well. Do not use dashes.
Adding a zero (0) in front if there's only 5 numbers will also allow you to proceed.

There's a state ID, but it's only 5 numbers instead of 6 and it won't let me file.
@daddyoh1826 You can use the federal ID and ignore the state ID.
Make sure the box is completely clear by using the delete button when you are in that box. Do not use any special characters only numbers in the box. You may be able to move forward with nothing in that box.
I tried nothing in the box. That didn't work. I entered the EID again and that didn't work either. I'm not sure why there isn't 6 numbers.
I'm sorry for your trouble. Add zeros to increase the number, try a different browser.
I called corporate office and they told me what to do. Thank you so much for your help!
@daddyoh1826 Do you mind sharing what they told you that helped?
They just told me to add a 0 in front if there's only 5 numbers.
