What if my health care was provided through my employer?

If your employer provided health care to you for the entire year, then you would select that you had insurance coverage for the entire year. You may receive form 1095-B or 1095-C stating that you were covered.

The requirement to have health care insurance was removed from the tax code after tax year 2017.  There is no longer a question on the federal tax return for having health care coverage.

If you did not receive a Form 1095-A for health care provided by one of the state Marketplace Exchanges, then when asked if you have a Form 1095-A answer NO.   Or delete the From 1095-A that you started.

Enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a
