What if I have a 1095-B

If you have a 1095-B, just check the box for having healthcare in the TurboTax Health Insurance section by taking these steps: 

  1. Sign into TurboTax Online
  2. Start your return if you have not yet or continue your return by click Taxes Tax Timeline > Take me to my return.
  3. Click on Federal Taxes tab (Personal depending on version)
  4. Click on Health Insurance sub-tab
  5. When asked if you had health insurance in 2016, select the option that applies to you, and Continue.
  6. When asked about being enrolled in any of these less common plans in 2016, select No.

Make sure to review your 1095-B for accuracy and keep for your files. See the following TurboTax video for more information:
