What has changed that prevents me from e-filing? Nothing has changed with my forms since 2009.

I have e-filed since 2009 with exactly the same documents as 2023, but TurboTax stated that e-filing is bot permitted this year because of a form. Which form?

Do you have a Schedule C?  There seems to be a problem Efiling a Schedule C.  They are looking into it.  Just wait to file.  They usually update the program on Thursdays.

There is program bug which is preventing the Schedule C from being e-filed.  This is a known problem and the TurboTax software programmers are working on software fix.  There is not a definite date for the update to be available.

Getting the same issue with not being able to e-file because of certain forms.  I do not have a Schedule C form either.

Efiling was just opened yesterday at the IRS and there is a lot of traffic.  Try in a couple of days and the return should go through just fine.  UNLESS you have one of the forms on this list that are not expected to be ready until February or March.

Check the forms in your return against this list.
