What happens if you made a new profile and Filed your tax return on a new profile that you made?

I lost my password to my old account so I made a new account but just recently recovered the password but I already filed on the new profile I made. What is going to happen since I did that?

If you only opted to file your taxes through one account, you should be okay.

However, if you filed your return through both accounts, one will be rejected because of your Social Security Number already being used through the other account. In this case, you can disregard the rejected one if the other was accepted.

I hope this was helpful. All the best.
