What happens if I don't finish this return today?

You can use TurboTax to complete and e-file a 2022 tax return at any time on or before October 16, 2023.

You can file the return later, but you should file an extension by midnight tonight.  If you have TurboTax, you can get it by clicking on Forms and searching for extension or 4868.  This extension extends your time to file without penalty by 6 months but does not extend the time required for you to pay.
