What does "the amount paid to you now will be reconciled on next year’s tax return based on your current 2020 situation" mean?

If you got a different amount for the Stimulus check like it's missing a dependent you will get it when you do your 2020 return next year.  It will be reconciled and included on your 2020 return.

Where did you see this message? On the federal or state return? What state? Was this in the normal input or during the Review? Or somewhere else?

Remember that we in the Community cannot see your tax return nor the screen that you are on.

This was on the page about the stimulus payment. It seems I will have to wait until next year's federal tax return to have the rest of the payment (which is due because my AGI was less in 2019 than in 2018 and I had not filed for 2019 when the checks were figured and sent so they had to use 2018 AGI).
