What do I need to send to the IRS along with my 1040-V payment voucher if I e-filed but chose to send my payment by mail

You only need to send the voucher and your payment. All your other documents were received when you e-filed. They also allow payments online just for your information.

Will the irs send my payment back if I forgot to send the voucher with the check? If so how long will it take to come back so I can re send it out?
