What do I enter for 2023 withholding W-4?

I want to change my W-4 withholding, so I'm running through that form in TT.  At the beginning, it asks me for the wages I expect in 2023.  There is also a box to enter 2023 withholding.  I'm not sure what to enter there.  The whole point was to calculate what my new withholding should be.  So why is it asking me that here?  Should I just leave it blank?

Use the Tax Withholding Estimator on the IRS web site to figure out what to put on your W-4 form. It will show you how to adjust your withholding to get the approximate refund amount that you want.
