What do I do if my state return is not going through to e-file due to a discrepancy in a social security number that it says is inaccurate but is actually correct?

If the state will not allow you to e-file due to a discrepancy with a social security number then you should file a paper return with the state.  Generally in these situations the states have an issue validating social security numbers for e-filing but can process the same identical return by paper without any issues.
