You can declare how much your casino winnings were in TurboTax if you know the amount.

      • Login to TurboTax online
      • Click Take me to my return or pick up where I left off
      • In the search box (located in the upper right hand corner) type W2g
      • Click the Jump to W2g link that appears in the search results
      • Click yes that you received gambling winnings. Continue with the onscreen instructions until you reach the
      • Whose W-2G do you want to work on? screen. Click the button next to We didn't receive a W-2G. Click Continue
      • On the Did (you) receive gambling or lottery winnings that weren't reported on W-2G? screen, Click Yes
      • On the Enter your gambling or lottery winnings that weren't reported on W-2G screen, enter the amount of your gambling winnings that you won during the year

What if you have lost your W-2G and paid taxes on the income when it was received? Do you need to get a replacement or can the information just be filled out regularly?

It is best to get the form.  It will have specific information about the Casino and the winnings that you may not remember.

  • I understand that @pllanesnsd has made efforts to get the information.
  • We still have until April 15, 2024 to get it.
  • If all else fails, you should report the winnings on your tax return.
  • If necessary, you can amend it latter.
