We owe federal and school tax. Do we start by selecting “e-file”, then pay by check for federal? Can we continue and use cash to pay school tax?

We owe federal and school tax. We set up an “online payment agreement” with IRS to make installments for federal.  We completed taxes on turbotax and are ready to file.  We think we need to submit “pay by check” during the filing process so turbo tax generates a payment voucher.   2 questions: 1) do we start the process on turbo tax by selecting “e-file”, then pay by check for federal? 2) can we continue and pay school tax on turbo tax?

#1 yes you can e-file and get a payment voucher and pay what you can to reduce penalties and still do the installment agreement.

#2) do the school tax on the State return and either use a payment voucher or set up a debit from you account to pay the amount due.
