We Need to Make One More Check Loop

I am attempting to file an amended federal return. It keeps prompting me to perform another check. When I do, it asks me to correct the payment date. I have tried several different dates, all of which are between the necessary dates and NOT on a weekend or bank holiday.

Curiously, the entry line for the new date says "The date you want the amount you owe, $0, withdrawn from your account." The amount I owe is NOT $0, Seems like a bug.

So that we can best assist you, which TurboTax product are you currently using that is giving this error?

I am using Deluxe download on Windows.

Please try to manually update your TurboTax software to make sure there are no pending updates keeping you from filing your amended return.

Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business)

Also, for assistance with amending your return, see How do I amend my 2020 return?

The problem persists. I manually updated and those are the instructions I originally followed.

Please see original post as I think this is a bug. Note screen cap where it shows $0, but I do in fact owe additional on my amended return.

When amending a return, it is standard for the amount to change to zero; following is an excerpt from the Turbo Tax FAQ on amending returns "Don't worry if your refund meter drops to 0; this is normal. Your calculations will come out correctly in the end".

Okay, thanks, but that doesn't solve my loop issue.

My issue is still not resolved. Is there anyone that can help me or another route for support I should take? Thanks.

Hello.

Anyone have a fix for this?

I have the exact same issue.  I owe tax and the amount owed has been correctly calculated for my amended return but when trying to e-file I get an error asking :

"The date you want the amount, $0, withdrawn from your account"

I enter a date and then when I click 'transmit returns now' I get "We need to make one more check"

I click 'continue' and it asks me the exact same question again

I have this issue with TT Business 2022, no errors reported by TT but when I select transmit, it keeps saying it needs one more piece of info.

I just ran into this with TT Business 2023...procrastinator that I am.

It appears to have happened when going through the e-file screens for my state return. Initially the info was to send me a check of the refund. However, it recommended direct deposit. So, I switched to that, provided my banking info, and then that's what caused the problem.

Going back and rerunning the final check on the state return, there is a field to check for whether the bank account is a Business or Personal one. One or the other needed to be checked - but it was not one of the fields entered when TT was taking the bank account info. Anyhow, once I checked that it was a Business Checking account, reran the final check once again, then the e-file worked.
