We have a 16 yr old working a part-time job who needs to file a return. Can I do that under my account? Or does he need to create his own acct?

When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you install from a CD or download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software. You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns.

In TurboTax Online, you can prepare and e-file one federal and up to five associated state returns  using the same email address but a different login for each account.

@Chukis001  That doesn't sound right.  Did you/she enter that she can be claimed as a dependent?  Better check that.  She should only be able to get back any withholding taken out which you said there wasn't.  Did she get a W2 or a 1099NEC?   Are you sure it's not a Tax Due of $1,500?

If they only got a W2 for under 12,400 they don't have to file except to get back any withholding taken out. If it is more or they got a 1099Misc or 1099NEC for any amount they do have to file a return.
