We did not receive a 1095-A. So what to do? Not file and file an extension? Contact IRS? Complain to one of the organizations above?

We did not receive a 1095-A and cannot get any information from the following:

Connect for Colorado healthcare marketplace  I get different answers from different people with minimal details.  They said it could take up to 8 weeks to get the form.

Healthcare.gov – no real information and refers me to connect for Colorado…

Cigna healthcare, our insurer.  They did provide me with some of my premium payments and conflicting $ amounts for the governments contribution.  Additionally, we found out from them they canceled our insurance at the end of Sept 2017, due to non-payment.

Due to the lack of a 1095A and the correct data, Turbotax advises “Not to File Federal” until we have the 1095A form.  Additionally, we have to report that we were not covered for the entire year of 2017.

So what to do?

Not file and file an extension?

Contact IRS?

Complain to one of the organizations above?

Please advise!

Thanks!

maybe you didn't read the details associated with my question.  I've already been the route of the suggestion in your link to no avail.  So the question is :  What to do now?

The information below from the IRS agrees with TurboTax's advice.

You will need to file an extension.

You can contact the IRS for more information.
