I sounds like your employer ran of boxes on the first W-2 form.  The one that only has amounts in Box 12 is really just a continuation of the other one.  Instead of entering it as a separate W-2, add the Box 12 codes and amounts to the entries for the first W-2 (i.e. combine them and enter as one W-2).

Hi, I have a similar situation where my employer ran out of boxes for Box 12 and had to issue a second W-2 to capture all the Box 12 entries. But the second W-2 only contains an amount for code DD. Based on the advice below and for at least my situation, it sounds like maybe adding the Box 12 codes may not be appropriate, especially since each of my Box 12 codes are different.

Based on the following question and answer, it sounds like maybe DD isn't that important?

Am I better off just ignoring the DD then? I would enter it but I'm not given any options on how since I already have 4 other Box 12 codes to report. I'm using the desktop software btw, if that makes a difference. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

Code DD is for the Health Insurance so you are correct that it is not essential.  If you leave it off you will be okay.
