W2 wrong

received a W2 for a restaurant job where I earned both wages and tips.

Box 1: 71224.40

Box 2: 800.35

Box 3: 71224.40

Box 4: 4415.91

Box 5: 71224.40

Box 6: 1032.77

Box 7: 0

But it is wrong in box 3 and box7 because my pay check show my wage 6412.40  my tip 64812.  Box3 should be 6412.40 and box7 should be 64812

What I am wondering is how big of a deal is this?    It's wrong on my w2.

If the pay and tip amounts are correct, it looks like your W-2 Is right.

The combined wages and tips are $6,412.40 + $64,812.00 = $71,224.40.

Both Wages and Tips are subject to income tax and Social Security & Medicare.

Please see Tip Recordkeeping & Reporting for further details.
