W-2s from my employer have different amounts for the same box. I work in Indiana and live in Michigan. They don't add up.
Did my employer mess up or is this normal?
I'm filing a Michigan and an Indiana Non-reciprocal state tax forms. Boxes 12a have conflicting numbers. This is a first, as I've worked for the same place for 11 years. Did something change in the tax law?

If you live in Michigan, 100% of your income is taxable.
If you work in Indiana the amount of money you earned in Indiana is taxable.
You will get a credit for taxes paid to Indiana on your Michigan tax return.
