W-2c because of deferred payment of some Social Security

Turbotax telling my I will be getting a W-2c because I deferred payment of some of my social security taxes last year. My social security taxes withheld are 6.2% of my social security wages. I contact my payroll department and my company did not defer payment either. Why is Turbotax telling me I deferred some of my payment  and will receive a W-2c once I have fully repaid what I owe? Was there an error and Turbo Tax was falsely reporting this?

If you got the message  "Heads up! You have a W-2C coming" .  This was fixed in the newest release on 2/19/2020.  Please be sure you have all current updates.

Only the customers who now legitimately will receive a W-2C will still get the pop up.

A W-2c form is used by the United States Internal Revenue Service for tax filing and reporting services. This form is known as a Corrected Wage and Tax Statement form.
