W-2 information is being requested for an employer from 2019, but I didn't work for them in 2020.

If you didn't work for that employer, you needed to delete the W2. To delete a W2 in Turbo Tax:

  • Click Federal in Tax Home Screen.
  • Jump to Income and Expenses tab.
  • click edit on Job(W2).
  • click the trash can symbol next to W2 to be deleted.

I did that at the beginning, but in the "review" process it just kept requesting the information for a 2019 employer. Even deleted the entire form and started over to make sure I deleted the previous W-2, but the same thing happened during the second returns "review process." Got it completed but still not sure why that information was requiring to be input.
