W-2 has multiple numbers for boxes 18 and 19, but box 20 has the same locality

I am trying to file my W-2 with turbotax, but it won't let me enter exactly what is on my W-2, because it says there cannot be two separate localities. I am not sure why this is the case, but I am not sure what to do about it. Please help.

Sorry, I mean it says there cannot be two of the same locality.

If you have two line entries for your local wages and local income tax that both have the same locality in Box 20, add the amounts in Box 18 and enter that for Box 18.

  • Then add the amounts in Box 19 and enter that in Box 19.
  • Since the locality was the same for the multiple numbers, combine the amounts to make only one line that is entered.
