W-2 Corrected

I have received a corrected W-2 and would like to ask if I need to file state taxes that were on my original W-2?

I was taxed for the state of MA when I only worked in the state of CO. My employer has provided a corrected W-2 showing I was only being taxed for working in CO. I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to file taxes for the state of MA as well. IE file twice, once for the wrong W-2 and once for the corrected W-2

You should e-file once, using the corrected Form W-2.  That corrected W-2 should serve as a replacement for your original W-2. You should be filing a Federal Tax Return and a CO State Tax Return using that corrected W-2.

Regarding your statement above "IE file twice, once for the wrong W-2 and once for the corrected W-2."

Did you e-file a MA State return and then e-file a Co State return?

If you already e-filed your tax return with the incorrect W-2 and it was accepted, you should wait until that return is processed and then file an amended MA return using the corrected W-2 information.

You will have to file a CO State Tax Return using the corrected W-2 information if you have not already done so..

If it did not affect your "Wages" and your "Federal Taxes Withheld" you do not need to correct/amend your Federal Return.

Assuming the wrong W-2 does not show taxes withheld for the state you did not work in, you only file the corrected W-2.
