Unable to import tax2023 file for 1099s

Decided I want to file my 1099's online this year. Tried transferring the business 1099 file and I got this message:

Failed to import data from tax file. Payee Tax Identification Number is required.

Do I have to enter the information manually or is there a work around?

I am able to import the file into the desktop process.

Thanks.

Are you using this link to file your forms?

Yes.  I click the "Transfer Business" link and then point to the 1099 file with the suffix tax2023.  I also talked to the help desk. No answer yet.

There has not been an update. Is this problem just my problem or is it a Turbotax problem?

Thanks.

This has been updated, but as an alternative, you can go to this link, Quick Employer Forms, and use your TurboTax Account to log in and e-file from there.

Just to be clear. The ability to import a tax2023 file for 1099s into the 2024 online function still does not work.  I can enter the information from scratch.  That is the alternative.

The end.

As of 02/17/2025 this still appears to be an issue.  I have you used W2/1099 tool inside TT Home & Business for years. This year is prompted me to the online tool and offers "transfer" but doesn't upload as the OP suggested.

Is there and expected timeframe to fix this 1099's are now late.
