Unable to enter Passive Losses From Prior Years

There are no data fields on the "Passive Losses From Prior Years" page for Schedule E. If I click on "I have passive activity losses reported on Schedule D or Form 4797" data fields appear for them but not Schedule E. Running TurboTax premier on an iMac with the latest OS X. Anyone else seeing this? Is there a fix for this?

You can enter Schedule E passive losses from prior years in the Rental Real Estate section of TurboTax.

  • While signed in and working in TurboTax
  • Click on Federal in the left-hand black menu
  • Click on Income and Expenses
  • Scroll down and click on Show More next to Rentals, Royalties, Farm
  • Click on Start or Revisit next to Rental Properties and Royalties
  • Walkthrough the pages until you get to Rental and Royalty Summary, click edit next to the Rental you wish to add passive losses for.
  • Click Property Profile, go through pages until you get to Do Any Of These Situations...
  • In Carryovers, click on I Have Passive Activity Real Estate Losses Carried Over From A Prior Year. Walkthrough the screens.

The admin response doesn't work since the program will not allow any data to be carried over nor to be manually inputted.

This just takes me back to the screenshot which guppyguy2009 posted. There is a small entry box next to "Regular Tax Carryovers:" but nothing can be entered into it.
