TurboTax would not allow me to file state taxes electronically. Just trying to figure out why?

Other than a TT glitch?!  My guess would be that your state isn't currently accepting online returns.  Check your state income tax website and see if that is the case.   Sorry for your problems :(

It could be that one of your state forms is not yet available for efiling. Check the State availability Table. 

Also If you efiled the Federal return first separately, you can't efile the state return until the Federal return has been accepted by the IRS.
