Turbotax won't let me re-efile a rejected amended return

I just used Turbo Tax to e-file an amended return for 2021 but it was rejected. Now Turbo Tax won't let me e-file again with the fixes. It only gives me the option to mail. Why? I was able to e-file the amended return on the first try. Why won't it let me try again the same way? It was a very small correction I needed to make.

Amended 2021 returns are filed on paper.

Not true. They are now allowing it. Per the IRS:

"If you need to amend your 2020, 2021 or 2022 Forms 1040 or 1040-SR you can now file Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return electronically using available tax software products."
"You can amend tax year 2020, tax year 2021 and tax year 2022 Forms 1040 and 1040-SR returns electronically at this time."

be aware: TurboTax only just recently added e-File of the prior year amendment.

Most people are not aware of that.

Since it is an  unannounced feature it is not clear what will happen if your e-File is REJECTED.

There could be bugs.
