Turbotax won't let me input my w2 income information. How do I fix this?

I've tried with two different returns (mine, and my kids) and in both case I can't add a W-2 to my tax return. Frustrating!

Are you trying to import the W-2? It's too soon for that. On the screen that says "Let's Start With a Bit of Info from your W-2," do not enter the EIN. Just leave it blank and click Continue. On the next screen click "Type it in myself." Then enter the W-2 manually.

If that doesn't solve the problem, tell us exactly what steps you are following to enter the W-2, at what point you have a problem, and exactly what happens. If you get an error message, what is the exact complete message?

Nope. Apparently TurboTax only runs correctly (Windows 11 PC) for me if I run it “as an administrator”

Before, it refused to even display anything when I tried to open a W2 worksheet—in fact it wouldn’t even offer a W2 as an option.

Weird.
