TurboTax says I "will be getting a W-2c because I deferred some social security taxes". My employer says I did NOT defer taxes and they are NOT sending a W-2c. Help?

You can probably ignore it..

 

......just go back into your W-2 and make sure box 4 is 6.2% of box 3 in the software form

 

......just had someone who had to round their box 4  $$$.36  to greater than $$$.50 to clear it out....something stupid like that. so if it's close....ignore it, you can file anyhow as the notice doesn't stop anything.......probably a mistaken notice. The notice doesn't get filed.
