Try this. It has worked for some people with similar problems.

  • Exit from TurboTax.
  • Right-click the TurboTax 2019 icon on your Windows desktop.
  • On the pop-up menu click "Properties."
  • In the Properties window click the "Compatibility" tab.
  • Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 7."
  • Check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator."
  • Click OK.
  • Start TurboTax again.

I posted in two other threads about Windows 7 crashes, and both threads are now showing an error message "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action."

What is going on with this forum? Why are these threads disappearing? (the HTML is being stripped from these links due to intuit's own restrictions)

This "Fix" seems to work, allowing me to continue work on my return.

Thanks.
