TurboTax is stuck on line 4 of Schedule E. The answer is 0 but it keeps bringing me back to that line and it won't let me finish filing. Any ideas?

The line says Enter royalties received (not reported elsewhere). The answer is zero but it seems like turbotax doesn't like that. This is the answer I gave last year...

Instead of using a zero delete the field and leave it blank. If this solution does not work please let us know.

I have the same problem..... can't efile without being bumped back to the Sch E .  I have tried everything on line 4 - blank, numbers, and 0...but just a never ending circle.

So I guess I'll mail it in.

thanks TurboTax

That stinks. I ended up calling and leaving it blank worked for me. Sorry about that

Line 4 on Schedule E often comes from an entry in box 2 on form 1099-MISC. You can edit that entry section to see if there is a 1099-MISC that doesn't belong in your program. It may have been carried over from a previous year. Look in the Other Common Income section, then Income from form 1099-MISC. If you see a form that doesn't belong there, you can delete it.

Another simple way to delete forms in TurboTax online is to use the Tax Tools menu option, which is on your left menu bar when you are working in your program. Then, choose Tools and then Delete a form.

If you are working in the download TurboTax program, use the Forms Mode on your menu bar to bring up the form you want to delete, then choose the Delete Form option at the bottom of the form.
