Turbotax is not excepting my credit card for their payment and therefore i cant file my taxes.

it is feb 5th turbotax need to solve my issue

Is the billing address for the CC the same as what you have entered in the program MY INFO tab ?

I was on the phone with them for 1 hours on the 2nd and was on hold most of the that time with that annoying elevator music. the rep said she will contact me but never did .  the address is the same. I don't remember what credit card I used last year . but i tried Visa , Master or American express didn't take either one. the only way i can go ahead with filing is for intuit take it out of my refund and charge me extra $40.00

The most common reason for this is due to a mismatch of information you input and what the bank has on file.

Make sure you follow EACH step below.

  1. Enter your credit card information manually. Don't use the autofill feature.
  2. Enter your credit card info exactly as you see it on your card, including any abbreviations, punctuation, middle initials, etc.
  3. The address you enter should be exactly as shown on your credit card statement. For example, if your statement has 123 Elm Street #3, don't enter 123 Elm St., No. 3.
  4. The phone number you enter should match the number on file with the credit card issuer.

 

If problems persist:

  • Contact the card issuer at the number on the back of your credit card to validate the name, phone number, and billing address on file; or
  • Pay your fees with a different card, if you have one. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

 

The billing address on your credit card and the mailing address on your tax return have to match or you will get an error for paying with a credit card.

 

If they are not the same then change your mailing address to your billing address.  Click on My Info on the left side of the screen.  Edit you mailing address and Continue.  Go back to the File section to make your payment.

 

After the payment has been approved, go back to My Info and change the address back to the originally entered on if you wish.

I did what you ask even though i have been entering everything manually , check the address with my bank for credit card and all other info.

still after trying 3 different card still is not working it is so sad after so many many years (over 20 years)  using Turbotax I have to change and go with a different company.

If you are still getting an error, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2023" file that is experiencing this issue.You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
 

  1. Then select Tools below Tax Tools.
  2. A window will pop up which says Tools Center.
  3. On this screen, select Share my file with Agent.
  4. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is. Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number.
  5. Reply to this thread with your Token number. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.

Here are the instructions if you are using TurboTax CD/Download:
 

  1. Click on Online in the top left menu of TurboTax CD/Download for Windows
  2. Select 'Send Tax File to Agent'
  3. Write down or send an image of your token number then place in this issue.
  4. We can then review your exact scenario for a solution.
  5. Please also tell us any states included in the return.

We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
